The Village of West Alexandria has contracted with the RITA to administer all income tax functions, including payments and tax returns. This means all municipal income tax filings and payments, should be filed with RITA. The Village's income tax structure remains the same as before - the tax rate is still one percent (1%) with a maximum residence tax credit of one half of one percent (0.5%) for employment taxes paid to any other municipality.
